Ingredion provides both short-term and long-term disability coverage at no cost to you.

Short-Term Disability (STD) Insurance

Ingredion provides Short-Term Disability coverage at no cost to you. Short-Term Disability Insurance replaces all or part of your pay for up to 26 weeks if you have a non-work related illness or injury that prevents you from working for more than 5 consecutive workdays. You receive benefits based on the number of years of service you have completed.

Employees should contact their Human Resources representative and their manager prior to going out on leave. Cigna is our disability/leave administrator. Employees contact Cigna to initiate a disability claim and follow the procedures outlined by Cigna in order to get the claim approved.

Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance

Long-Term Disability Insurance replaces part of your pay if you have a non-work related illness or injury that prevents you from working for more than 6 months. Ingredion provides LTD benefits at no cost to you through Cigna.
